Sam Altman Accused Of Sexual Abuse By Sister, Open AI CEO Denies Allegations | About The Case

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has been accused of sexual abuse by his sister Annie Altman. Annie has alleged that she was sexually abused from 1997 to 2006 by her brother, a charge which has now been denied by the AI mogul.

Similar allegations were made against Sam Altman in 2021 on social media. Four years later, his sister has now filed a lawsuit against the OpenAI chief.

What Are The Allegations?

As per the lawsuit filed by Annie Altman, the abuse took place at her home in Missouri. She added that the sexual abuse began when she was three years old and Sam was 12 years old. The most recent case allegedly occurred when he was an adult but Ann was still a minor.

The legal action, which was filed in the US District Court in the Eastern District of Missouri, states that the abuse began with oral sex and later involved penetration.

As per the lawsuit, Sam would sexually abuse her "several times per week." The lawsuit adds that the ordeal resulted in severe emotional distress, mental anguish, and depression."

Annie has requested a jury trial and compensation of $75,000.

This is not the first time Annie has alleged sexual abuse by Sam Altman. Taking to , she shared that she experienced "sexual, physical, emotional, verbal, financial, and technological abuse from my biological siblings, mostly Sam Altman and some from Jack Altman."

OpenAI, Altman Family Denies Claims

In a join statement , OpenAI and the Altman family have denied the allegations against Sam Altman. Taking to social media platform X, the statement reads that all claims made by Ann are "utterly untrue."

The statement, issued by Sam and his mother Connie and brothers Max and Jack, the Altman family has stated that Ann has tried to extort money from Sam.

"Annie has made deeply hurtful and entirely untrue claims about our family, especially Sam," they said, adding that Ann has "over the years accused members of the family of improperly withholding our father's 401k funds, hacking her Wi-Fi and shadow-banning her from various websites including ChaptGPT, Twitter and more," the statement reads.

"All of these claims are utterly untrue. This situation causes immense pain to our entire family," the family said, adding that Ann has refused to seek "treatment and lashes out at family members who try to help her."

Ann was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome earlier this year, which is a genetic disorder impacting mobility.
