India라이브 바카라 fourteenth Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday at the age of 92. He was admitted to the AIIMS Delhi라이브 바카라 emergency unit after his health deteriorated.
AIIMS Delhi issued a press release stating that the revered Prime Minister was being treated for age-related conditions and had sudden loss of consciousness at home on Thurssday. He was admitted to the medical emergency unit at 8:06 pm. However, despite all efforts he passed away at 9:51 pm.
Delhi Congress confirmed the news on their social media handle.
Dr Manmohan Singh served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014, taking office after the Congress Party라이브 바카라 victory in the 2004 elections. He was re-elected for a second term in 2009. As Prime Minister, he was known for his calm, measured demeanor and his commitment to economic development and global diplomacy.
Before assuming office as the Prime Minister, he served as Union Finance Minister from 1991 to 1996. He was the architect of India's economic liberalisation during his time as the FM in the Narasimha Rao government.
Before that, he also served as Economic Advisor in the Commerce Ministry and later as Chief Economic Advisor in the Ministry of Finance, Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, and Chairman of the University Grants Commission.
Dr Singh is credited with initiating sweeping liberalization measures that included opening up the economy, encouraging foreign investment, and transforming India's financial landscape.
The former Prime Minister also served as a faculty member at Punjab University and the Delhi School of Economics, where his expertise in economics helped shape future generations of thinkers. His global experience also included a brief tenure at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and as the Secretary General of the South Commission in Geneva from 1987 to 1990.
Throughout his career, Dr Singh earned numerous accolades, including India라이브 바카라 second-highest civilian honor, the Padma Vibhushan (1987), the Asia Money Award for Finance Minister of the Year (1993, 1994), and the Euro Money Award for Finance Minister of the Year (1993). He was also the recipient of honorary degrees from several prestigious universities, including Cambridge and Oxford.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Gursharan Kaur, and their three daughters.
