Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi after a report by National Sample Survey Office's said that the unemployment rate was at a 45-year-high.

Earlier in the day, the Congress accused PM Modi of "devastating the economy".
"In just five years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has devastated the economy and driven unemployment to a 45-year-high. The youth of India have one question for you Modiji, Hows The Jobs," Congress tweeted.
Arccoding to the National Sample Survey Office's (NSSO) periodic labour force survey, which has been accessed by, the country's unemployment rate was at a 45-year-high of 6.1 per cent in 2017-18.
The report, which has not been made public yet, is at the바카라 웹사이트centre바카라 웹사이트of controversy after two바카라 웹사이트National Statistical Commission (NSC) members바카라 웹사이트- P C Mohanan and J V Meenakshi - quit on Tuesday citing delays in the release of the report as one of the reasons for the decisions.
According to the report, the unemployment rate in 2017-18 was at its highest level since 1972-73, the period since when the jobs data is comparable.
