The 2021 World Championship silver-medallist has managed just one quarterfinal finish this year — at the Thailand Masters — and begins his campaign in Taipei against fellow Indian and 2022 World Junior Championships silver-medallist S Sankar Muthusamy.
Sankar recently made headlines by stunning then world No. 2 Anders Antonsen at the Swiss Open, making this an intriguing all-Indian clash.
