When Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai라이브 바카라 government took power in Chhattisgarh a year ago, it aimed for the welfare of Antyodaya (uplifting the poorest). At the time, the state was grappling with high discontent due to the Congress PSC scam, corruption in government schemes, and a deteriorating law and order situation. Within a year, Chief Minister Sai라이브 바카라 leadership not only addressed these pressing issues but also regained the confidence of the public. Programmes like the Niyad Nellanar initiative have become a powerful tool against Naxalism, while Mahtari Vandan Yojana has brought joy to 70 lakh women. Under Vishnu Deo Sai라이브 바카라 leadership, the government is committed to the welfare and development of all sections of society, especially the poor, youth, breadwinners, and women. Excerpts from an interview with the Chief Minister regarding future plans and policies:
It라이브 바카라 been a year since your government came to power, and many of your government라이브 바카라 programmes have become role models across the country. What do you think is the reason for this success?
Our government follows the Antyodaya model, where the welfare of the poor is at the centre of all our policies. We have been diligent in keeping our promises. For example, the previous Congress government had deprived the poor of benefits like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, but we have made sure to address this gap. Additionally, initiatives like the paddy bonus for farmers, the purchase price of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal, and the successful Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which gives Rs 1000 per month to 70 lakh women, have been instrumental. We’ve also relaxed age limits for government jobs to benefit youth, and programmes like Ramlala Darshan Yojana, PM housing for the poor, and free ration have been well-received. The happiness on people라이브 바카라 faces brings me immense satisfaction.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has promised to end Naxalism in Bastar within five years. Given the alliance between missionaries and Naxalites, how do you plan to resolve this issue?
The BJP-led government is consistently addressing the Naxal problem. The Niyad Nellanar programme has already delivered significant results. In the past nine months, security forces have neutralised 194 Naxalites in encounters, arrested 801, and witnessed 742 surrenders. Our policy is clear: we will respond to words with words, and to bullets with bullets. We’ve also taken measures like establishing the SIA (State Investigation Agency) to tackle the issue in a more structured way. Furthermore, we are publicising the Naxal surrender policy, revising tendu leaf procurement practices, and focusing on basic infrastructure development in Naxal-affected areas. Our security forces are working in remote regions such as Sukma, setting up camps, and providing essential services like education, healthcare, and communication to local communities. We are serious about eradicating Naxalism.
You have announced plans to increase the state라이브 바카라 gross domestic product (GDP) to 10 lakh crore within the next five years. How do you plan to achieve this?
Achieving this goal requires collective effort. If everyone works hard and remains focused on the vision of a developed India, Chhattisgarh will also progress towards becoming a developed state in the Amrit Kaal (period of development). Niti Aayog is emphasising the development of the poor, youth, farmers, and women, and Chhattisgarh is laying the foundation for this by prioritising knowledge enhancement, infrastructure development, and youth employment. The previous Congress government turned Chhattisgarh into an ATM for a few, with rampant corruption and nepotism, which held back the state라이브 바카라 development. But now, we are focusing on new areas for investment. Our state has abundant resources, including minerals, iron ore, and coal. The most crucial factor, however, is peace and harmony, which defines the identity of our state. As long as we ensure that public funds are used for the benefit of the people, there are no major challenges ahead. We will also continue pushing for economic reforms whenever necessary.
You have spoken openly about conversions, particularly in your region, which is dominated by missionaries. What actions will your government take in this regard?
I come from the Jashpur district, where the Kunkuri region houses the second-largest church in Asia. Conversion activities have been rampant there. Our late colleague, Dilip Singh Judeo, was a hero in the Ghar Wapsi movement. Together, we carried out numerous campaigns against conversion and cow slaughter. These efforts, including large-scale padayatras, successfully brought thousands of people back to their roots. Our government will strictly enforce the law banning conversions. No matter how strong the forces behind conversions are, they will face strict action. Just recently, a video surfaced showing how people are being misled in these areas. We will not allow this to continue, and we will take all necessary steps to ensure that such activities are stopped.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and last year라이브 바카라 assembly elections, you promised ‘Modi Ki Guarantee.’ How do you assess the current status of these promises?
We have made significant progress in fulfilling many of these promises, and we are diligently working on the rest. For instance, we’ve initiated the construction of 18 lakh houses for the poor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which was a failure under the previous Congress government. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana for women has been successfully implemented, with eight installments paid so far. Additionally, we’ve honoured our commitment to farmers by disbursing Rs 3,716 crore in outstanding paddy bonuses, benefiting 13 lakh farmers. We also recorded a historic purchase of 145 lakh metric tonnes of paddy at the minimum support price. The BJP secured 10 out of 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh and saw an increase in vote share to 52.65%. As we have stated, “We have built it and now we will improve it.” Our aim is to restore trust and ensure progress for the state and its citizens.
Can you share your thoughts on your political journey from sarpanch to Chief Minister?
I never imagined becoming Chief Minister, but the journey has been a testament to the party라이브 바카라 commitment to empowering even the smallest worker. I am a farmer라이브 바카라 son, and the party has given me incredible opportunities—first as Panch, then Sarpanch, MLA, MP, and Union Minister of State. My role model has always been the late Dilip Singh Judeo, whose dedication to serving people inspired me deeply. To this day, I find the greatest satisfaction in seeing the smiles of common people. I am confident that, under the guidance of party leadership, I will fulfill the responsibilities of this office.
What is your vision for Chhattisgarh라이브 바카라 economic development?
Chhattisgarh라이브 바카라 current GDP stands at Rs 5.05 lakh crore, and we aim to increase it to Rs 10 lakh crore in the next five years. Achieving this target will require concerted efforts. We are focusing on reforms, including eliminating middlemen in the liquor business and introducing policies for sand mining. We have also taken steps to curb corruption and improve transparency, which we believe will stop tax evasion and boost revenue.
How has your government addressed corruption, and what actions are being taken against those responsible for plundering state resources?
We have taken decisive action regarding the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission recruitment scam. The Economic Offences Investigation Bureau has filed a chargesheet, and the case has been handed over to the CBI for further investigation. Similarly, the Mahadeo Satta App case is under investigation by the CBI. We are committed to penalising those responsible for embezzling public funds. The investigation into cases such as the coal, liquor, rice scandal, and DMF is ongoing, and strict action is being taken against all involved in corruption. Transparency has been restored in processes such as coal transportation, and those found guilty will face appropriate consequences.
What is your government라이브 바카라 approach to the development of Sarguja and Bastar, and what steps are being taken to promote the welfare of indigenous communities?
Our government is working diligently on a policy to enhance the development of Sarguja and Bastar. We have expanded outreach to 50 tribal communities, including the Gond, Oraon, Kamar, Pahadi Korwa, Birhor, Baiga, Kanwar, Koya, Dhurva, Halba, and Abujhmadia.
