First shot of the game comes quickly, as Jordan Murray's clearance is intercepted by Guillermo Fernandez, who cuts it and lets a venomous shot, but it is straight at Gomes.

Stephen Eze makes a darting run forward and almost gets his head to a cross from Mohammed Urvais, but ends up clattering against Gurmeet Singh in the process.

All the good chances have fallen to Jamshedpur FC, and Gomes' goal kick goes to Javi Siverio, who makes space for himself and lets in a venomous shot. It's probably not on target, but Gurmeet takes no chances and puts it behind.

Meanwhile, Rei Tachikawa gets himself booked.

What a terrific free-kick from Ajaraie. The Moroccan, from at least 35 yard out, goes for goal towards the top corner, and Albino Gomes comes flying in and gets his right hand to it to somehow keep it out. That would have been one of the goals of this year had it gone it.

Five corners already in the opening twenty or so minutes, with NEUFC getting 3 and JFC getting 2. The latest ball in from the Red Minres does not trouble Gurmeet.

Nestor Albiach tries to manoeuvre space for himself in the box, but gets crowded out by the defenders.

Nestor floats in a fantastic delivery from the left and finds Guillermo Fernandez in the box. The ball bounces as the forward tries to hold on to it under pressure from Eze, and before he shoots and finds the back of the net, the ref blows his whistle for handball.

Replays show that the ball rolled on to his left hand, then finding his feet before the shot.

Murray twists and turns on the right side, but with no support, floats in an aimless ball in the box, but it is cleared. Meanwhile, NEUFC are very careless with possession, and the ball remains with Jamshedpur at the moment.

Siverio finds Ajaraie in the box, and Javi Hernandez lets in a shot but it's staright at Gurmeet. The ball somehow finds itself to Ajaraie, but his header goes just above the top bar.

The referee finally blows for half-time after two minutes of added time are played, and it is goalless at the Kalinga Stadium.

After Nestor's ball in the box is cleared back, Jithin gets himself in some space outside the box, and connects with his strong foot, but if flies JUST over the bar. A moment of magic that could have very easily gone it.

Still no shots on target for the Red Miners yet.

Javier Siverio feeds Murray with a brilliant lobbed pass, and the Australian forward holds off the pressure from defence but his shot is not on target.

Gurmeet is yet to be seriously tested by the Jamshedpur attack.

Subran, pushed to the left by the defence, takes a snap shot with his left foot, but it goes just wide of the far side, and Guillermo cannot get on the end of it.

Jamshedpur get the first shot on target, with Javi Siverio being forced to shoot from outside the box due to a lack of attacking options, but it is catching practice for Gurmeet.
