Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the armed forces have “complete operational freedom” to determine the mode, targets, and timing of response to last week라이브 바카라 deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 civilians, mostly tourists. A source quoted the Prime Minister as saying this during a high-level security meeting on Tuesday, according to a PTI report.
The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Modi, PTI reported, expressed “complete faith and confidence in the professional abilities of the armed forces” and reiterated the government라이브 바카라 resolve to deliver a “crushing blow to terrorism.”
He also vowed to pursue the attackers and their “patrons” — a pointed reference to Pakistan — “to the ends of the earth” and inflict a punishment “beyond their imagination.”
The Pahalgam massacre, one of the most brutal civilian attacks in Kashmir in recent years, has sparked public outrage and renewed demands for a forceful military response. The Modi government has previously responded to major terror strikes with cross-border operations — including the 2016 surgical strikes and the 2019 Balakot airstrikes.
In a further escalation, India has moved to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, a decades-old water-sharing agreement with Pakistan that has often endured even during periods of hostility.
Earlier on Tuesday, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan chaired a separate security review with chiefs of the paramilitary forces and senior officials from central security agencies. PTI reported that no official details were released about the meeting라이브 바카라 agenda.
