Top seed Sindhu took 36 minutes to beat unseeded Hooda in straight games (21-12, 21-9), while Wu's semi-final match against Lalinrat Chaiwan of Thailand lasted 41 minutes with the Chinese winning 21-19, 21-12.
Sidhu, 29, is chasing her third Syed Modi International title, a feat which will put her on the same podium as Saina Nehwal. Sindhu won this BWF Super 300 event in 2017 and 2022.
