The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will kick-start from February 19 and will conclude on March 9 across three venues in Pakistan (Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi) and in Dubai. However, the start of the tournament has been plagued by list of injuries to key players especially the likes of Jasprit Bumrah. (More Cricket News)

However, Bumrah is not the only key absentee from the marquee tournament.

Here's a list of players that will miss the Champions Trophy 2025 due to injury-related issues:

Pat Cummins (Australia): Australia's ODI and Test captain Pat Cummins will miss the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to an injury he suffered during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India. Cummins, who won the ODI World Cup 2023 in India, will be a big miss for the World Champions especially given the plaudits that the Aussies have won under his leadership. Cummins also sat out of the recently concluded two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

Jasprit Bumrah (India): India's Jasprit Bumrah won't be a part of the Champions Trophy 2025 as the pacer is yet to recover from his lower back injury. Bumrah's absence will hurt the Men In Blue, given his importance to the team and how he led them to victory in the T20 World Cup in 2024.

Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh (Australia): Alongside Cummins, Australia will also miss the services of Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Marsh. The 34-year-old pacer is ruled out of the tournament due to a hip injury he suffered during the third India vs Australia Test in Brisbane last year. As for Marsh, the T20I captain was ruled out due to his "ongoing lower back pain and dysfunction", Cricket Australia said in a statement.

Saim Ayub (Pakistan): Pakistan's young and upcoming batting star Saim Ayub will miss the entirety of the Champions Trophy 2025 tournament after the former suffered an ankle injury during the 2nd Test against South Africa in Cape Town in January this year. Ayub registered scores of 109, 25 and 101 after Pakistan thumped the Proteas 3-0 in an ODI series in December 2024.

Jacob Bethell (England): England's 21-year-old batting prodigy Jacob Bethell won't be part of their squad for the tournament due to a hamstring injury. The all-rounder suffered the injury whilst playing the 1st ODI in the ongoing three-match series against India at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on February 6.

Anrich Nortje (South Africa): Proteas pacer Anrich Nortje has been unlucky with injuries during key tournaments. The fast bowler will miss the tournament after picking up a back injury. He is replaced by MI Cape Town all-rounder Corbin Bosch.

Mitchell Starc (Australia): Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc is another key player that won't be part of the upcoming tournament. Starc's unavailability is not down to any injury but as per Cricket Australia, the former opted out on personal grounds.

Allah Ghazanfar (Afghanistan): Afghanistan's 18-year-old spinner Allah Ghazanfar, who has scalped 21 wickets in 11 ODIs so far, won't be playing the Champions Trophy 2025 later this month. The spinner picked up a fracture in the L4 vertebra, specifically in the left pars interarticularis. The Atlans have roped in Nangeyalia Kharote as his replacement.

Lockie Ferguson (New Zealand): The 33-year-old Kiwi pacer was ruled out of the tournament on the eve of the opener between the BlackCaps and hosts Pakistan. Ferguson suffered an injury to his right foot, and would thus miss out. Thirty-year-old Kyle Jamieson will replace him in the squad.
