The match, being a day-night affair, begins at 1:30pm IST. The toss will thus be done at 1pm at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It will be interesting to see the team combination from both sides, considering this is a veritable dress rehearsal for the Champions Trophy.

The match will be live streamed on the Disney+ Hotstar app and website in India. It will be telecast on the Star Sports Network TV channels in India.

India have now lost the toss in ten consecutive ODIs, marking the second-longest such streak by a team, just behind the Netherlands, which lost the toss in 11 matches between March 2011 and August 2013. The last time India won the toss was in the semifinal against New Zealand at Wankhede during the 2023 World Cup.

Saqib Mahmood opened the bowling attack of England and Rohit Sharma along with Shubman Gill came to bat for India in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Rohit got off the mark with the first delivery. Mahmood bowled a wide delivery which went to the boundary.

Mark Wood came to bowl the second over in the match and he got rid of the Indian captain on the first delivery. His off-stump delivery troubled Sharma and he got a thin edge. Phil Salt took a fine-diving catch to complete his dismissal. Virat Kohli is the new batter at the crease.

Mark Wood created some chances and troubled Virat Kohli with seam movement and his sheer pace. Shubman Gill kept rotating the strike in between and hitting boundaries on regular intervals. Saqib Mahmood tried to hit Kohli's pads but he managed to hit back-to-ack boundaries after he survived a run-out scare.

Saqib Mahmood and Mark Wood bowled the most of the overs in the first powerplay but Gus Atkinson was called to bowl the last over. Shubman Gill hit a couple of boundaries to Atkinson as India crossed the 50-run mark in the match.

Joe Root was introduced into the attack in the 11th over before the full-time spinner Adil Rashid and Liam Livingstone. Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill targeted him and Kohli hit a couple of boundaries in his first over then collected 14 runs from his second over.

Shubman Gill completed his half-century with a boundary off Adil Rashid in the 17th over. This is his 50th ODI match and he reached the milestone in style. This is his third consecutive good inning in this series. This is his 16th ODI fifty and India also completed the 100 runs.

Virat Kohli hit Liam Livingstone for a six over mid-on to start the over and took a single on the next delivery to complete his half-century. A much needed one! He raised his bat but not looked convinced. This is his 73rd ODI fifty. 100-run partnership between the duo also completed.

Adil Rashid got rid of Virat Kohli again! This is the fifth instance in ODI cricket that Rashid has dismissed Kohli. A soft caught behind and Kohli walked back without waiting for umpire's decision. England team players are elated. Shreyas Iyer is the new batter at the crease.

Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer have added more than 40 runs for the third wicket after the dismissal of Virat Kohli. Gill targeted spinners and went down the ground to hit some big shits. Iyer also went big and hit Livingstone for a six.

Saqib Mahmood was called back into the attack in the 30th over and Shreyas Iyer welcomed him with a couple of boundaries. He collected nine runs from the over and reached closed to his another half-century in the series.

Shubman Gill completed his sixth ODI century with a boundary off Mark Wood in the 32nd over. He became the first Indian batter to score a century in his 50th ODI match and the quickest to score the seven ODI tons.

Adil Rashid got rid of Subman Gill in the 35th over. He bowled him with a slower delivery. Gill departed for 112 runs. He also overtook Hashim Amla in making the most ODI runs (2587) after 50 innings. Shreyas Iyer completed his half-century in between and shifted gears. KL Rahul replaced Gill at the crease.

Adil Rashid dismissed the set batter Shreyas Iyer as well. It was a soft dismissal. He got a thin edge and Phil Salt took a brilliant catch behind the wickets to send him back to the pavilion. India lost their fourth wicket. KL Rahul was joined by Hardik Pandya.

Adil Rashid came to bowl his last over and Hardik Pandya hit him for back-to-back sixes. Rashid bowled him on the very last delivery of his spell to get the last laugh. He finished his spell with four wickets. Axar Patel is the new batter and he started his inning with a four.

Axar Patel lost his wicket to Joe Root who came to bowl the 44th over after Adil Rashid finished his spell. He dismissed the in-form Axar Patel with a slower delivery. Tom Banton took a fine catch at mid-on. Washington Sundar is the new batter at the crease.

KL Rahul accelerated in the death overs but could only make 40 runs off 29 balls. Washington Sundar and Harshit Rana played some big shits but that could only take India to 356 runs. Now, India need to defend 356 runs to win this match.

Arshdeep Singh opened India's bowling attack with Phil Salt and Ben Duckett opening the batting for England. Just one run came from the first over. Indian team is off to a fine start.

Ben Duckett and Phil Salt give England a blazing start to the chase. Duckett targeted Harshit Rana first and hit him for a couple of fours twice. Then he targeted Arshdeep Singh and hit him for back-to-back four boundaries in the fifth over.

Arshdeep Singh got rid of the set batter Ben Duckett in his fourth over. Singh bowled a slower knuckle delivery and Duckett's shot landed in Rohit Sharma's hands. The first breakthrough for India. Tom Banton came to the crease.

Arshdeep Singh git rid of Phil Salt in the ninth over and Joe Root came to the crease. Axar Patel was introduced into the attack in the 10th over and he started with a maiden over. Hardik Pandya came to bowl the next over and he conceded just five runs.

Phil Salt and Ben Duckett gave a blazing start but Arshdeep Singh dismissed the openers early and thanks to Joe Root and Tom Banton crossed the 100-run mark in the 14th over. Kuldeep Yadav was introduced into the attack in the 14th over and conceded just three runs. Hardik Pandya continued his attack from the other end and conceded seven runs including a boundary from Banton.

Kuldeep Yadav dismissed the set batter Tom Banton in the 18th over. It was a close caught behind. But Banton took a review and there was little spike when the ball passed the bat. KL Rahul took a fine catch. He made 38 on his first ODI of the series. Harry Brook replaced him at the crease.

Axar Patel got rid of the set batter Joe Root in the 21st over of the inning. Root once again lost his wicket to a left-arm spinner. This is the third incident in this series. Jos Buttler replaced him at the crease and survived a close stumping call when KL Rahul was looking sure of catching him outside the crease. But he was inside. Harry Brook kept collecting boundaries in the next overs.

Harshit Rana was called back into the attack in the 25th over and he got a wicket straightway. Before that, he had leaked 22 runs in his first two overs. Jos Buttler tried to play him but got an inside edge and lost his wicket. Half of the English team is back in the pavilion. Liam Livingstone joined Harry Brook on the pitch. This was a wicket maiden for Rana.

It went in similar fashion to the whole tour (talking about the batting). We were outplayed by a fantastic team. Our approach (with bat) is a right one, just that we haven't executed well. They put a great score on the board. Shubman played a great innings. We got off to a great start again but familiar story again for us. Need to find a way to bat longer. We were up against a really good side that keeps challenging.

Very very pleasing. We knew there will be challenges that we could face. I mean there is nothing I could havedone about that. Credit to the bowler and the bowler is there to get you out and you are there as a batter to challenge that. Just nicked the ball, second ball I was facing and couldn't have done anything about that. I don't see there was anything wrong we did this series. Obviously there are certain things we are looking at and I am not going to stand here and explain those. It is our job as well to keep some consistency within the squad and the communication is clear.

Definitely. I was feeling good. I think this was one of the better knows. The pitch was a bit tricky at the start so it's satisfying. There was a bit for the fast bowlers. It was seaming, so the chat was to rotate strike and not lose wickets in powerplay, build on the momentum and take it from there. You are just reacting to what is coming to you without thinking too much.
