Kuwait won the toss and asked Qatar to bat first in a must-win match. They managed to take three wickets within the first four overs.

But Shahzaib Jamil (34), Jassim Khan (20) and Mujeeb Ur Rehman (28) played quick cameos to take their team to a respectable total of 124 runs. Qatar failed to score in the death overs and were bowled out within 19.3 overs.

Anudeep Chanthamara picked up three wickets for Kuwait, whereas Mohammed Shafeeq, Nimish Lathief and Meet Bhavsar took a couple of wickets each.

In response, Kuwaiti opening batter Clinto Anto went berserk from the word go and hit a quick 28-ball 72. He hit five fours and seven sixes in his match-winning knock.

Kuwait successfully chased down the target in 10 overs with six wickets to spare. Anto was named Player of the Match for his performance.

Mohammed Irshad was the best bowler for Qatar, who took three wickets in just two overs while conceding 10 runs.

If Nepal beat Hong Kong in match 6, then Kuwait will face Nepal in the final on Sunday. Qatar will play the third-place play-off match on Sunday.
