Vidarbha's batting prodigy Danish Malewar aged 21 stunned the Ranji Trophy by belting centuries in his debut game and final match against Kerala.

Debutant in first class in October 2024 when he played Andhra, Malewar stunned at the early going with a 61-run contribution in the second innings and proved his consistency later with steady innings before he reached his first-class century (115) against Gujarat.

Malewar has played a vital role in Vidarbha's march to the final, coming up big in the knockout phase with crucial scores—75 in the quarters, 79 in the semis, and another century in the summit clash. Still to make his debut in shorter formats, the young man is turning out to be a red-ball specialist in the making.
