UP Warriorz come into the clash from back-to-back defeats and are desperately looking for some points to stay in contention for the WPL Playoffs.

Their Ekana Stadium homecoming ended on a disappointing note after they were thrashed by the Gujarat Giants.

The 2023 edition champions Mumbai Indians have a realistic chance of going  to the top of the table, but will need to avoid any more slip-ups.

They come into the contest on the back of a nine-wicket defeat to Delhi Capitals and would eye to turn the momentum around.

Georgia Voll and Grace Harris are off the mark as UP Warriorz begin their do-or-die clash against Mumbai Indians. Shabnim Ismail found some early bounce, even drawing an LBW review on the very first over, but Voll responded with a confident pull shot for four. Harris, meanwhile, looked composed, rotating the strike.

Finally a Breakthrough for Mumbai Indians!

After a solid start by UP Warriorz, Mumbai have finally broken opening stand! Hayley Matthews strikes as Grace Harris departs for 28 off 25 balls. Harris, who was looking to accelerate, mistimed a pull shot and ended up giving a simple catch to G Kamalini at short fine leg.

UP Warriorz are still going strong at 74/1 after 8 overs, with Georgia Voll leading the charge on 41 off 23 balls.

UP Warriorz have suffered a sudden collapse, losing three wickets in just 14 balls to let Mumbai claw back into the contest.

Georgia Voll (55 off 33) was cleaned up by Nat Sciver-Brunt after a brilliant knock, while Kiran Navgire departed for a duck, caught at short third off Amelia Kerr. Earlier, Grace Harris (28 off 25) fell to Hayley Matthews, leaving UPW reeling at 94/3 in 10.3 overs after a strong start.

Mumbai Indians have flipped the script with a double blow in quick succession yet again! Vrinda Dinesh perished trying to take on Amelia Kerr, and just when Chinelle Henry looked dangerous with a first-ball six, she was caught the very next delivery. From a solid 120/3, UPW have slipped to 120/5, handing Mumbai the momentum heading into the final overs.
