Pakistan lead the T20 head-to-head 17-2 in 19 meetings. In their second last meeting, Zimbabwe pulled off a one-run win during the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 group stage match in Perth.

Zimbabwe skipper, Sikandar Raza: "We will bat first. We have had a detailed chat on the spin options. We have a young side, we need to keep upscaling ourselves. Need a better display of batting, fielding and bowling. You need to analyse the wicket. Nothing drastic apart from that. We are going with the same team. Body is going right."

Pakistan skipper, Salman Agha: "We have a good team, we can bat well. We can chase well, we have a good enough team. Need to bowl well in the powerplay and need to improve our fielding and batting. We need the top batters to score big."

Zimbabwe are off and running and have shown some serious signs of intent in the first two overs of the encounter, especially Brain Bennett. The question, however, remains, if they will be able to sustain for long.

So far, so good for Zimbabwe. A decent start has been converted into a good one, having already notched up 37 runs in four overs. Both batters Marumani and Bennett have scored three fours each, while Bennett has also smashed a six.

The game has turned on its head in a matter of three overs as Abbas Afridi and Haris Rauf have picked up three wickets in quick succession. All of a sudden, the hosts have gone from 37/0 to 41/3, and it only means one thing: trouble.

It goes from bad to worse for Zimbabwe. The intent was never the question, but the duration of it, and they have crumbled like nine-pins, losing half the side for just 46 runs, and in under nine overs.

It is all happening real quick in Bulawayo. Sufiyan Muqeem has spun a web around the hosts, and they just have no answers. Two overs, three runs, four wickets.

And that's that. Sufiyan Muqeem has five, and Pakistan have taken all ten wickets in under 13 overs. Zimbabwe have now registered their lowest total in men's T20Is. Sikandar Raza will not be a happy man, and the hosts will not be a happy side, especially after such a promising start. We'll be back in 15 for the chase.

We are back with the chase and Omair Yusuf and Saim Ayub have started off on a very positive note. Pakistan will look to finish this off as the shoulders have already dropped in the Zimbabwe camp.

Pakistan are not far away now. Just 28 runs required and we could be calling it a quick day. Very disappointing from the hosts as they showed no fight. However for the travelling Pakistan, they do have a new star in Sufiyan Muqeem.

And that's that. The visitors have chased it in just 33 balls. A new-look Pakistan side sure mean business. They also win the series 2-0 with one of the most dominant performances one could witness. Dominance, that is the word.

"We are all hurting and we are all in a pretty bad place. But we have got 36 hours to bounce back. We can stay in the moment for now but that won't win us the next game. We still have a desire to beat Pakistan. It was quite a poor performance today, but we still want to beat Pakistan before they go home."

You cannot have powerhitters all the way. But what we ask from everyone is that this is a young side, the more we play the more we learn, Pakistan are a quality side and it is not easy. But what we have to ask are people learning if we keep making the same mistakes. People need to take a hard look at themselves and come up with answers."

"That's how we want to play, we don't want to play how the toss goes. We are a quality side. If we bat first we can win the game, if we bowl first we can win the game. The way the youngsters are performing is heartening and good to see."

"We have plans and they are executing really well, the way they are doing is outstanding. The way Sufiyan and Abrar bowled today is outstanding. I'm very happy and the team is very happy. We have not won a T20I series recently, we did not win the T20I series in Australia, we wanted to win here. We want to continue like this in the upcoming series as well."
