FA Cup 2024-25: Aston Villa Beat West Ham United 2-1 At Home - In Pics

Graham Potter lost his first game as West Ham boss, with Aston Villa coming from behind to win and advance to the FA Cup fourth round. The match saw two quick second-half goals from Amadou Onana and Morgan Rogers, despite West Ham's anger over a controversial corner leading to Onana's equalizer. Lucas Paqueta had given West Ham an early lead, but they struggled to hold on in the second half. Potter, appointed just days earlier and with limited preparation, was aiming to make an immediate impact after nearly two years out of management. However, the Hammers faded after a promising start, compounded by the injury of striker Niclas Fullkrug.
