10 teams are competing in the qualifiers from South America and six will get a direct berth at the 2026 FIFA World Cup while the seventh best team will go into the play-offs. Currently, Argentina are leading the league table. Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil and Paraguay are the other teams in top six. Bolivia are at the seventh spot.
