The Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season has reached its business end as the league phase closes out with Hyderabad FC taking on Kerala Blasters. (More Football News)
ISL 2024-25 features 13 sides with the addition of Mohammedan Sporting Club, who had won promotion after having won the I-League last season.
Mohun Bagan Super Giant are the ISL 2024-25 Shield Winners after having finished the season in pole position. FC Goa, NorthEast United FC, Bengaluru FC, Jamshedpur FC and Mumbai City FC have booked their spot in the play-offs.
ISL Play-offs Format
As the ISL Play-offs format goes, the best six sides after the league phase, make it to the play-offs with the top-two securing a direct pathway to the semis.
Furthermore, the side that finishes top of the table after league phase, wins the League Shield and also wins a ticket for the AFC Champions League Two group phase.
The remaining four sides battle it out for spot in the semi-finals through a play-off round. The teams finishing third and fourth, have home comfort in the one-off play-off ties.

The Mariners were the first-ever team in the ISL to successfully defend their ISL Shield. FC Goa were the second team to qualify for the play-offs, after their 1-1 draw with Kerala Blasters last month.
Manolo Marquez's side finished second in the ISL table, which meant they have secured a direct spot in the semi-finals.
Former ISL champions Bengaluru FC came in third after their 1-0 win over Chennaiyin FC in February. Jamshedpur FC and NorthEast United FC were the fourth and fifth teams to wrap up their spot in the play-offs.
Mumbai City FC's 2-0 away win at Bengaluru FC, sealed their spot in the play-offs.
