UEFA Champions League 2024-25: Rodrygo's Brace Helps Real Madrid Beat Brest 3-0

Rodrygo continued his scoring streak with Real Madrid on Wednesday, contributing to the team's 3-0 victory over Brest. Despite his two goals in the match, the Spanish powerhouse fell short in the league phase of the Champions League, finishing in 11th place among 36 teams. Rodrygo's goals brought his total to seven in as many matches. Jude Bellingham also scored for the defending European champions. Madrid ended the league phase with the same 15 points as four other teams but had a poorer goal difference, which impacted their final standing. As a result, they now face the possibility of encountering Manchester City in the playoffs. The draw on Friday will determine whether Madrid will face City or Celtic in the next round.
