Luke Littler created history as he became the youngest ever World Darts Championship as he defeated Michael Van Gerwen 7-3 in the final. Van Gerwen, the runner-up in the contest, was the previous youngest champion. He had won the first of his three titles at 24 in 2014. Littler averaged just over 102 and threw 12 180s in a darting masterclass to triumph over Gerwen.
