FIDE World School Championships 2025 is set to begin on 19 March, and the event will see young chess prodigies around the world compete in several age groups. The tournament will be held in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia, and will feature nine rounds of chess with the conclusion on 29 March. (More Sports News)
The tournament will have six rounds in both the open and women라이브 바카라 categories – with age groups from seven to 17 being represented. The games will last for 90 minutes, with 30 second increments for each move.
India has seven representatives across various age groups, with the players being chosen from the top 50 finalists of the Over the Board National School Age Group Chess Championship 2025 held at Peddapuram, Andhra Pradesh.
The star attraction in the Indian contingent is 17-year-old Kerala prodigy and Candidate Master (CM) Adithya A Chullikkad. The youngster has already notched a number of international tournament wins and will look to spearhead India라이브 바카라 charge boasting an Elo rating of 2101.
He will face a strong battle for the Open Under-17 title from Fide Masters (FM) Artyom Bogdanov (Kazakhstan), Andrej Ljepic (Serbia), and Gleb Scheglov (Russia), each of whom has Elo ratings above 2300.
Bogdanov will certainly be one to watch, with the Kazakh prodigy already winning several age-group tournaments in his bright career.
Aadya Gupta is the highest-rated female Indian chess player in the tournament, with the Women Fide Master (WFM) competing in the Women라이브 바카라 Under-15 category. Boasting an Elo rating of 1928, the youngster is fresh off winning two gold medals in the Western Asian FIDE Youth Chess Championship 2024, and will look to keep up her winning streak in this tournament as well.
