The International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) has clarified that the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup 2025 in the United Kingdom, organized under the World Kabaddi Federation, is not authorized by the IKF. (More Sports News)
The IKF is the official governing body for Kabaddi, recognized by both the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Asian Kabaddi Federation (AKF).
The OCA, IKF, and AKF have been responsible for overseeing and supervising the kabaddi medal competitions for both men and women at the Asian Games since 1990, along with other international kabaddi tournaments.
Additionally, neither the OCA, IKF, AKF, nor the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) have any involvement or association with the World Kabaddi Federation or its activities.
In the official release, IKF has also highlighted that every National Sport Federation (NSF) for Kabaddi, affiliated with the National Olympic Federation of their respective countries, is a member of both IKF and AKF.
These officially recognized NSFs, which are part of the Olympic system in their countries, are not participating in the so-called Kabaddi World Cup 2025 in the United Kingdom.
As a result, no national kabaddi federation, which competes in the kabaddi medal events at the Asian Games, is involved in this tournament. The teams that are reportedly representing these countries at the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup in the UK have no authorization from the relevant NSFs for Kabaddi.
IKF has been informed by the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) that the so-called India team at the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup in the United Kingdom does not have any sanction or recognition from AKFI, the officially recognized governing body for kabaddi in India.
IKF will further request AKFI to take appropriate action regarding the so-called India team at the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup in the United Kingdom, including addressing their participation in kabaddi competitions and events that fall under AKFI라이브 바카라 jurisdiction in India.
In addition, IKF will urge other member-affiliates, especially AKF members, to implement similar measures to safeguard against any teams wrongfully representing their countries at this event.
IKF will also share these concerns with the relevant National Olympic bodies affiliated with its member-affiliates, urging them not to be misled into granting any unjustified sanction or recognition to the unauthorized national teams participating in the so-called Kabaddi World Cup 2025 in the United Kingdom.
