The Film Critics Guild announced the winners of the Critics' Choice Awards 2025, on March 25. The star-studded ceremony was attended by Javed Akhtar, Richa Chadha, Payal Kapadia, Kani Kusruti, Varun Sobti, Divya Dutta, Parvathy and Anna Ben among others.
Actor-singer, Diljit Dosanjh won the Best Actor award for his performance in Netflix's Amar Singh Chamkila, beating out Abhishek Bachchan who was nominated for I Want To Talk. Darshana Rajendran won the Best Actress award for her role in Paradise.
Ravi Kishan bagged the Best Supporting Actor, for Laapataa Ladies and Kani Kusruti earned the Best Supporting Actress for her stellar performance in Girls Will Be Girls.
During his acceptance speech, Diljit expressed his heartfelt gratitude and said, “Thank you to the Film Critics Guild for this award, bohot bohot shukriya for considering me worthy of this honour.'' He dedicated this award to Amar Singh Chamkila and director Imtiaz Ali, for bringing this beautiful film to life. ''I just had the chance to be a part of it—it was entirely Imtiaz sir라이브 바카라 hard work. A big thank you to the entire cast and crew of the film,'' he added.
In the Web Series category, Prime Video's Poacher won big by bagging six awards- Best Web Series, Best Actress award for Nimisha Sajayan, Best Director for Richie Mehta, Best Supporting Actor for Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Best Supporting Actress for Kani Kusruti and also for Best Writing.
Barun Sobti won Best Actor for his performance in Raat Jawaan Hai.
The Short Films category was dominated by Obur. It won the Best Short Film and other awards. Harish Khanna won Best Actor for Jal Tu Jalaal Tu, Jyoti Dogra clinched the Best Actress award for Taak (Tracker).
All We Imagine As Light shone in the Feature Film category, by earning three awards- Best Film, Best Director and Best Cinematography.
A new category was introduced this year, Best Documentary, which honoured exceptional feature-length documentary films. Nocturnes bagged award for powerful storytelling.
