Legendary actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar passed away in the early hours of Friday, April 4, at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai. He breathed his last at the age of 87. The entire nation mourned the loss of 'Bharat Kumar'. Manoj Kumar's last rites took place today, at Pawan Hans crematorium, Mumbai.
His mortal remains were wrapped in tricolor before taking him for the cremation. Several celebs from the film fraternity including Amitabh Bachchan, Prem Chopra, Salim Khan, Anu Malik, Rajpal Yadav and Vindu Dara Singh, among others arrived to pay their last respects to the Padma Shri awardee.
Mr Kumar was laid to rest with state honours.

Announcing state honours for Manoj Kumar, Maharashtra Minister Pratap Sarnik told PTI, "I am very sad, his son Kunal is my friend, he was struggling with his health, he dies, state honours will be given. He was such an artist, who would always see 'Bharat', his acting used to be so good, be it Kranti or Roti, Kapda aur Makan, he always had a great patriotic feelings. I want to pay tribute to him on behalf of Maharashtra government. I had seen Kranti five times."
Manoj Kumar Death Reason
Medical reports confirmed that the cause of Manoj Kumar's death was cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, a severe heart attack. The reports also confirmed that the actor had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, which further deteriorated his health.
He was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025, after his condition worsened.
What His Son Kunal Goswami Said
While talking about his father라이브 바카라 last days, Kunal said that the actor went through a lot of pain before passing away. ''When organs fail, there are a lot of pains... But ultimately, I think it was more towards the heart. He passed away peacefully. I am thankful to God for that,” he told IANS.
Recalling his father라이브 바카라 final hours, he shared, “I woke up at 4:30 in the morning. He was unwell. He had been unwell for a long time. We were praying that his pain would reduce... Doctors were trying a lot''.
Manoj Kumar is known for his patriotic films and characters. Upkar, Roti Kapda aur Makan, Purab aur Paschim, Kranti, Shaheed, Gumnaam, and Woh Kaun Thi, among others are some of his iconic films.
He received his first Filmfare Best Director Award for Upkar as well as the National Film Award for Second Best Feature Film.
He was honoured with Padma Shri in 1992, Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999, and received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015.
