Manoj Kumar Death: Dharmendra, Prem Chopra, Raveena Tandon And Others Pay Last Respects To Legendary 'Bharat Kumar'

Legendary actor and filmmaker, Manoj Kumar passed away on Friday, April 4, at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He was 87.

Medical reports confirmed that the cause of Manoj Kumar's death was cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, a severe heart attack. The reports also confirmed that the actor had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, which further deteriorated his health.

Manoj Kumar's last rites will take place today at 11 am, at Pawan Hans, in Vile Parle, Mumbai, confirmed his son Kunal Goswami. Ahead of it, several veteran actors including Dharmendra and Prem Chopra visited the actor's residence to pay their last respects to the departed soul. Actress Raveena Tandon also arrived to bid final adieu to 'Bharat Kumar' of Hindi cinema.

Prem Chopra, 89, was spotted outside his dear friend and colleague Manoj Kumar's residence on Friday late afternoon. Kumar and Chopra worked on several films including Purab Aur Paschim, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, and Kranti.

Dharmendra, 89, arrived to pay his final respect to 1962 film Shaadi라이브 바카라 co-star. While talking to ANI about his fond memories with Manoj Kumar, the veteran actor said, “We have many memories together. We spent our earlier days in the film industry together.”

Raveena Tandon remembered Manoj Kumar as a father figure. While speaking to the media, the actress offered her condolences and said, “I have known Manoj Kumar uncle for many years. In fact, he is the one who gave my dad a break in films. He was like a father to all of us, and today I have three of his favorite things that I will place on him. One is the Rudraksha mala of Mahakal, the second is Sai Baba라이브 바카라 vibuti, and the third is the Indian flag. He was my Bharat; he is and will always be my Bharat. The kind of inspirational films he made, no one else has made, and no one ever will. I remember every song of Manoj ji, and my most favourite is Jab Zero Diya Bharat. He is our legend, and he will always be.''

Celebs like Farah Khan, Sajid Khan and Madhur Bhandarkar, among others also arrived to pay their heartfelt respects to the iconic actor.
