Fashion's biggest and most exclusive costume event, Met Gala 2025 is around the corner. Celebrities of fashion, film, music, sports, politics and social media will ascend the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York City on Monday, May 5, for the flamboyant fashion event. When is the Met Gala 2025?
The Met Gala, which traditionally takes place on the first Monday of May, is on May 5 (May 6, 3:30 am IST). The red carpet coverage of Met Gala starts at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
Where to watch the Met Gala 2025?
Audience can livestream the Met Gala 2025 on Vogue라이브 바카라 YouTube channel, which is the official broadcaster for the event. It will also be broadcast across Vogue's digital platforms. Teyana Taylor, La La Anthony and Ego Nwodim will host the Met Gala livestream.
Three-and-a-half hour red-carpet special will be aired on E! News, which will be hosted by Zanna Roberts Rassi, Maria Taylor, Elaine Welteroth and Yvonne Orji.
Met Gala 2025 theme
This year's Met Gala theme is 'Tailored for You', which will celebrate the Costume Institute라이브 바카라 new spring exhibition with the theme - 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style'.
'Superfine' will celebrate Black dandyism, heritage, and identity from the 18th century to its revival during the Harlem Renaissance and how it has impacted the fashion today.
"Dandyism offered Black people an opportunity to use clothing, gesture, irony, and wit to transform their given identities and imagine new ways of embodying political and social possibilities," a previous release from the Met stated.
Each year, the theme of Met Gala is chosen by Andrew Bolton, the curator in charge of the Costume Institute.

NBA superstar LeBron James will also join as an honorary co-chair, and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, who has been in charge of the event since 1995, will reprise her role as the presiding co-chair.
The host committee includes prominent Black personalities across fields—Simone Biles, Usher, Spike Lee, Doechii, Jonathan Owens, Regina King, Janelle Monáe, Doechii, Ayo Edebiri, Tyla, André 3000, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Jeremy O. Harris.

The guest list for the gala always remains a top secret until the red carpet arrivals. According to Vogue, around 450 guests will be in attendance this year.
