The National Testing Agency is all set to conduct the NEET UG 2025 exam today - May 4, 2025. For this year, around 23 lakhs MBBS aspirants are expected to appear for the undergraduate medical entrance exam.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance test (NEET) is the largest medical entrance examination held in India. The entrance exam will be held in the pen and paper format from 2 PM to 5 PM.
Students will be required to attempt a total of 180 compulsory questions within the 3-hour duration. The total marks of the NEET UG 2025 exam are 720.
The paper is divided into three sections - physics, chemistry and biology, with 45 questions each. The biology section is further divided into Zoology and Botany.
NEET UG 2025 Exam Today - Important Guidelines To Know
Students must report to their exam centres at least 30 minutes before the exam time.
Candidates must carry their admit card with them to be allowed entry into the examination hall.
Candidates are also required to carry a valid government photo ID for verification purposes, such as Aadhar Card, Passport, PAN, etc.
Electronic items such as phone, laptop, tablets, Bluetooth devices and others are prohibited inside the exam centre and hall.
The NEET US exam will be conducted across over 5,000 centres in India in 550 cities. The exam will be conducted in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Once the exam is conducted, NTA will work towards releasing the answer key for students. Candidates will be allowed to raise their objections to the answer key for a limited period. After this objection window closes, NTA will then release the results for the NEET UG Exam.
