After the blockbusters, Drishyam and Drishyam 2, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph are back with the third instalment. Yes, you read it right! Mohanlal has confirmed Drishyam 3. On Thursday, the actor took to his X handle to announce Drishyam 3 with Jeethu Joseph.
The Barroz actor announced the film with a picture of himself with Jeethu Joseph and Antony Perumbavoor.
"The Past Never Stays Silent Drishyam 3 Confirmed! #Drishyam 3 (sic),'' read the caption in the post.

Drishyam is one of the most successful movies of the Malayalam industry. It was remade in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Sinhalese and even Chinese. Ajay Devgn, and Tabu starred in the Hindi version which was also as successful as the Malayalam version. Mohanlal starrer Drishyam was released in 2013, while the second instalment came in 2021.
Mohanlal, while speaking about Drishyam's significance in Malayalam cinema, told India Today, "Drishyam has done great things. It gave a great uplift to the Malayalam industry. We produced that film [Drishyam 3] during the Covid-led pandemic. That film was viewed by the entire India. Now they know about the Malayalam industry. They started watching more Malayalam films [after Drishyam]. It became a blessing for the industry, [even] internationally."
