Before she became an advisor to CEOs, at the age of 13, a rare neurological illness left Sirisha paralyzed from the neck down. In a span of 48 hours, she went from a healthy school girl dreaming of becoming a neurosurgeon to being unable to move, write, or feed herself. Doctors weren’t optimistic. But her parents refused to accept that this was the end of her story. Years of painstaking physiotherapy followed. It took two years before she could walk again. The dream of becoming a surgeon faded, but she never stopped learning. Denied entry into medical school due to mobility restrictions, she pivoted to Computer Applications, and later to management. She taught herself programming with one hand, topped her university and earned admission to IIM Ahmedabad.
It was at an event on campus that she met Harish, her future husband. Their connection wasn’t just personal—it was philosophical. Over time, they learned a shared outlook on life: practical optimism, quiet ambition, and a desire to build with intent.
After years of navigating their own careers, and many conversations over what makes organizations truly work, they co-founded Align By Design in 2022.
