With US President Donald Trump's tariffs coming into effect, the global markets have continued to tumble, especially after the 104 percent tariff against China.
As per the latest reports, Japan's Nikkei 225 dipped more than 5%, along with other Asian stocks, which also experienced a dip.
Technology stocks in Japan were the main drivers of the decline in markets as chip-testing equipment manufacturer Advantest dropped 9% and chip-making equipment producer Tokyo Electron dropped by 4.85%.
In India, the 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex dropped 554.02 points to 73,673.06 in early trade, and the NSE Nifty declined 178.85 points to 22,357.
Meanwhile, South Korea라이브 바카라 Kospi has entered the bear market territory after dropping 20% from its July 2024 high.
A similar crash was witnessed on Monday after Donald Trump imposed his tariff hikes.
On April 7, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index dropped over 12 percent along with Japan's Nikkei 225 plunging nearly 8 percent. Furthermore, Shanghai SSE Composite index dropped by about 8 percent and South Korea's Kospi tanked by over 5 per cent.
In India, Nifty fell below 22,200 amid broad-based selling across sectors. Furthermore, Sensex was down 2,226.79 points, or 2.95%, at 73,137.90, while the Nifty dropped 742.85 points, or 3.24%, to settle at 22,161.60.
Meanwhile, in the US, Wall Street experienced another tumble amid the growing tensions due to President Trump's fresh tariffs.
S&P 500 hit its lowest close on Tuesday with a down at 1.6% and closed below the 5,000 mark for the first time in nearly a year. Furthermore, Dow tanked by more than 300 points.
