India Declares Three-Day State Mourning On Passing Of Pope Francis

The Vatican says Pope Francis died of a stroke that put him into a coma and led to heart failure. The death was confirmed Monday by Dr Andrea Arcangeli, the head of the Vatican라이브 바카라 health department.

The Government of India has declared a three-day state mourning to pay tribute to the passing of Pope Francis. Two days of mourning will be observed on April 22 and 23, with the third day marking the pontiff's funeral.

United States President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will attend the funeral.

Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth Social: Melania and I will be going to the funeral of Pope Francis in Rome. We look forward to being there!.

India Mourns

The Ministry of Home Affairs stated, "His Holiness Pope Francis, Supreme Pontiff of the Holy See, passed away on April 21. As a mark of respect, a three-day state mourning will be observed across India."

During this period, the national flag will fly at half-mast on all buildings throughout India where the Tricolour is regularly flown, and there will be no official entertainment programmes.

Francis, who suffered from chronic lung disease and had part of one lung removed as a young man, was hospitalised for 38 days earlier this year following a respiratory crisis that developed into double pneumonia.
