An Indian national was found dead in Canada's Rockland town and a suspect has been arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police on Friday(EDT).
According to a CBC report, the incident took place near Lalonde Street just before 3 pm Friday(EDT) but the reason behind the death was not revealed.
Later, the Indian embassy in Canada confirmed that the reason for death was stabbing and said it was in touch with the victim's family.

The Indian embassy in Canada took to X to express condolences and assured to provide assistance to the kin of the victim.
"We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of an Indian national in Rockland near Ottawa, due to stabbing. Police has stated a suspect has been taken into custody. We are in close contact through a local community association to provide all possible assistance to the bereaved kin," the post read.
The Ontario Provincial Police, as per reports, have deployed extra security personnel in the Rockland town.
CBC reported that the crime scene is roughly 40 kilometres east of downtown Ottawa.
