Russia and North Korea have begun construction of their first road link over the border river of Tumen claiming it to be a symbol of their growing partnership. According to Russian News Agency Tass, the one kilometer bridge is expected to be completed in one and a half years.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the project on Wednesday asserting that its construction would reduce transport costs, facilitate trade and promote tourism. The construction had been in talks for several years before being finalised during Putin라이브 바카라 visit last year. The move comes amid North Korea라이브 바카라 growing ties with Russia post its conflict with Ukraine.

One railway bridge and an air service currently serve as movement facilitators between the two nations.

State media agencies from both nations reported that ceremonies were held on either side of the stretch with North Korean Premier Pak Thae Song and Russian Prime Minister Mishustin attending over video calls.

Pyongyang has been a staunch supporter of Russia with both nations signing a treaty last year to provide immediate military assistance to one another in case of an aggression. According to South Korea lawmakers, the North has lost around 600 soldiers to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Putin has praised North Korean troops for their service and is even considering to parade them World War 2 commemorations on May 9.
