Pakistan on Monday conducted a successful training launch of the 'Fatah series' surface-to-surface missile with a range of 120 kilometres.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the army, said in a statement that a “Fatah Series” was tested as a part of the ongoing exercise “INDUS”.
“The launch was aimed at ensuring the operational readiness of troops and validating key technical parameters, including the missile's advanced navigation system and enhanced accuracy,” the statement said.

Pakistan will respond with "full spectrum of force", including nuclear, if it is attacked or its vital water flow disrupted, Pakistan's ambassador here has warned amid tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad after the Pahalgam terror attack.
Muhammad Khalid Jamali made the comments during an interview with Russia's state-run TASS news agency on Sunday.
Warning that Pakistan was prepared to respond to any aggression, the ambassador said, “We in Pakistan will use the full spectrum of force, both conventional and nuclear.”
Ties between India and Pakistan plummeted following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 26 people, mostly tourists.
“Any attempt to usurp the water of the lower riparian, or to stop it, or to divert it would be an act of war against Pakistan and would be responded to with full force, including nuclear,” he said.

He added that the most of the family members, including his brothers and father, do odd jobs and “have no connection with the militancy”.

"Why have you filed this kind of PIL? What is your real motive? Don't you understand the sensitivity of the issue? I think you are inviting some exemplary cost for filing this PIL," Justice Surya Kant told Tiwari.
The petitioner lawyer said this was the first time that tourists in Jammu and Kashmir were targeted, and hence, he was seeking directions for their safety.

The civil and military leadership of Pakistan has briefed the country's political parties on tensions with India in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack.
All political parties barring former prime minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf party attended the in-camera briefing on Sunday, the Dawn newspaper reported.
The political leaders vowed a robust response if India resorted to any "misadventure", the paper quoted a source privy to the briefing as saying.
The briefing was given by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt-Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.
The source said that the political parties were of the view that they stood by the armed forces to foil any attempt by India to spoil regional peace.
Before the briefing, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said the main objective of the huddle was to get feedback from the political forces in light of tensions with India.
The participants were also apprised of the preparedness of the armed forces to foil any misadventure by India, the report said.

Pakistani troops yet again resorted to unprovoked firing in eight forward sectors along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, violating ceasefire agreements and prompting retaliation from Indian troops, officials confirmed on Monday.
This marks the 11th consecutive night of Pakistan's unprovoked firing along the LoC, amidst heightened tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad following the killing of 26 people in the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.
A defence spokesperson in Jammu told PTI, “During the night of May 4 and 5, Pakistan Army posts resorted to unprovoked small arms fire across the LoC in areas opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor in J-K."
“The Indian Army responded promptly and proportionately,” he added.

Ferozepur Cantonment Board on Sunday announced that all electricity will be cut at the cantonment area in Punjab's Ferozepur on May 4 between 9PM to 9:30PM for blackout exercise in the wake of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack.
The Indian Express reported that the exercise is ordered by the president of the Cantonment Board and Station Commander. Its agenda is to gauge the efficiency and preparedness of blackout protocols as India and Pakistan gear up for a probable military action.
The drill involves an entire power shutdown in the Cantonment region. Instructions were relayed to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to cut electricity supply during the half an hour.

Security forces on Sunday evening recovered multiple improvised explosive devices (IED), radio sets and binoculars from a terror hideout in Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to media reports, the bust was made at the hideout in Hari village of Surankote, and was jointly conducted by Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Operations are underway to locate the terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam attack in which at least 26 civilians were killed.
A Cordon and Search Operation launched by forces in the region revealed a hideout spot in the natural caves.
