US President Donald Trump took aim at countries impacted by tariffs, claiming they were eager to do whatever it took to strike a deal with him.

Speaking at the National Republican Congressional Committee, Trump boasted that he was a better negotiator than Congress. “These countries are calling us up, kissing my a**,” Trump said. “They are desperate to make a deal — ‘Please, sir, make a deal, I’ll do anything, I’ll do anything, sir,” he said.

Trump also addressed some rebel Republicans who argued that Congress should handle the negotiations. He insisted that if that were the case, China wouldn’t be facing 104 percent tariffs.

“I’ll see some rebel Republicans who want to grandstand and say, ‘Congress should take over negotiations.’ Let me tell you, you don’t negotiate like I negotiate,” Trump said.

He further criticized Congress, claiming their approach would lead to disastrous results for the U.S. “If Congress takes over negotiating, they’ll sell America out fast. You’ll go bust,” he mocked. “I just saw it today, a couple of your congressmen said, ‘I think we should get involved in the negotiations on the tariffs.’”

Trump suggested that if Congress handled the negotiations, China would be the big winner, as the U.S. would be the one paying the tariffs instead of China.

“Oh, that라이브 바카라 what I need — some guy telling me how to negotiate,” he quipped. “The happiest people in the world would be the Chinese. They wouldn’t be paying 104 percent; I’d tell you, they’d be paying zero, and we’d be paying them 104 percent.”

Trump also said that he would announce major tariffs on the pharma sector soon.

"Tariffs on pharma will be there because we don't make our own pharma drugs; they are made in another country. The same packet in the US is priced at USD 10 or more. We are going to tariff pharma in such a way that companies will come rushing to us very soon. The advantage we have is, we are very big market.

Very shortly, will announce a major tariff on pharma, and when these companies hear that, they will leave China and other countries because most of their products are sold here. And, they will be opening their plants here," Trump said.

Tariff War

Right after assuming the office for his second tenure as the US president, Trump said that he could put 25 percent trade tariffs on Canada and Mexico starting on February. For products from China, Trump announced a levy of 60 percent levy.

In his inaugural address, Trump pledged that tariffs would be imposed and said foreign countries would be paying the trade penalties, even though those taxes are currently paid by domestic importers and often passed along to consumers.
