After UP's Shahzadi Khan, UAE Executes 2 Keralites On Death Row Over Murder Charges: Report

The two Keralites have been reportedly identified as Muhammad Rinash A and Muraleedharan PV. It has been reported that the UAE authorities initiated the execution after informing the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on February 28.

Within days after the execution of Shahzadi Sabbeer Khan, a 30-year-old caregiver from Uttar Pradesh over the alleged murder of an infant, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) executed two Kerala men in connection with murder cases, as per Manorama Online.

The two Keralites have been reportedly identified as Muhammad Rinash A and Muraleedharan PV. As per the report, Rinash was a travel agency employee in Al Ain who was convicted of murdering a UAE national while Muraleedharan was on death row over the murder of an Indian man in UAE.

It has been reported that the UAE authorities initiated the execution after informing the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on February 28. Citing MEA's official statement Manorama reported that the authorities have provided all possible legal assistance to both of them. Now the ministry is looking at arrangements for the respective family members to attend their last rites.

28 Indians On Death Row In UAE: Report

As per The Tribune, as many as 29 Indians were facing the death sentence in the UAE, Kirti Vardhan Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs, had informed the Rajya Sabha on February 13.

The number has come down to 28 after the execution of Shahzadi Khan, a 33-year-old woman from Banda district in UP, in Abu Dhabi on February 15, the Ministry of External Affairs informed a court in Delhi on Monday.

UAE Executes UP Woman

On February 15, UAE executed 30-year-old Shahzadi Sabbeer Khan, a caregiver from Uttar Pradesh라이브 바카라 Banda district, who was sentenced to death last year over an alleged murder of a four-month-old infant.

The Delhi High Court on Monday was hearing the plea of a father inquiring about the well-being of his daughter when the Centre's counsel informed that she was executed in Abu Dhabi.

The family was extremely shocked as they had spoken to Shahjadi over the phone on February 15.

The Ministry of External Affairs in a statement declared that the Indian Embassy provided all possible legal assistance to Shahzadi, including sending mercy petitions and pardon requests to the Government of the UAE despite Khan's father claiming that his repeated applications to the ministry remained unheard.

Kerala Nurse's Death Sentence Over Murder Of Yemeni Citizen

Yemen President Rashad al-Alimi in December inked the death sentence for Kerala nurse Nimisha Priya, who was convicted of murdering a Yemeni citizen.

Since 2017, Priya has been imprisoned in Yemen for the alleged murder of a Yemeni national Talal Abdo Mahdi after she injected him with sedatives in an attempt to retrieve her passport from his possession.

Priya's mother Prema Kumari travelled to Yemen to negotiate with the victim라이브 바카라 family about paying blood money to save her daughter. Blood money refers to the compensation paid by an offender or his kin to the family of the victim. She was provided assistance by the Save Nimisha Priya International Action Council comprising NRI social workers based in Yemen, as per a report by The New Indian Express.

Responding to the development, MEA Official Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, "We are aware of the sentencing of Nimisha Priya in Yemen. We understand that the family of Priya is exploring relevant options. The government is extending all possible help in the matter."
