Chhattisgarh: 31 Rebels Killed, Naxal-Held Hill Captured Along Border With Telangana; Amit Shah, PM Modi React

The three-week-long operation titled Black Forest reportedly dismantled headquarters of several Naxal formations, including the notorious People라이브 바카라 Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) Battalion 1, the DKSZC, TSC, and the CRC.

Security forces in a massive three-week-long operation involving 26,000 personnel, neutralised 31 rebels while capturing the strategic Karreguttalu hills, which was once under Maoist control along the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border, officials announced on Wednesday.

According to news agency ANI, the eliminated rebels carried a bounty of 1.72 crores.

As per reports, the operation, titled Black Forest, concluded on May 11 after reportedly dismantling headquarters of several Naxal formations, including the notorious People라이브 바카라 Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) Battalion 1, the DKSZC, TSC, and the CRC.

The scale of the operations was such that the forces, personnel from the central and state, built a helipad on top of the hills during their campaign.

CRPF director general GP Singh told reporters in Bijapur, "CRPF along with Chhattisgarh police carried out one of the biggest police operation against Naxals in Chhattisgarh-Tealangana border region in a hill range called Karre guttalu hills with an area of almost 1200 Square KM."

"The operation lasted 21 days from April 21st to May 11th. We had at least 21 Exchanges of fire. During the operations, we have recovered 31 dead bodies of Naxals and an unknown number killed but not recovered due to geographically difficult terrain", Singh said.

"The terrain had heights up to 965 metres, a large number of caves and gorges with temperatures going upwards of 45 degree celsius. We recovered 35 high quality weapons, 800+ BGL shells, four weapon making units, 450+ IEDs, huge dump of explosives, 12000 KGs of ration etc", he continued.

"We suffered 18 injuries, mostly to IEDs but no fatal casualty. All injured are being provided treatment at the best medical facilities of the country. It was a privilege to lead the team in the field including conflict theatre during the entire period of three weeks. My compliments to Chhatisgarh Police and troops of CRPF and CoBRA Bn for determination, bravery and resilience. Through this operation, we’ve cleared an area considered fortress of Naxals and a No-Go zone for Security agencies. Onwards to Mission - March 31st 2026",Singh concluded

Hailing the massive anti-naxal operation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah posted on X, “The hills which were ruled by red terror now proudly hoist the tricolour” while calling it the “biggest operation till date.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, quoting Shah라이브 바카라 post on X, added, “This success of the security forces shows that our campaign towards rooting out Naxalism is moving in the right direction. We are fully committed to establishing peace in the Naxal-affected areas and connecting them with the mainstream of development.
