The Trump administration announced slashing another $450 millions in grants to Harvard on Tuesday, on top of the preexisting $2.2 billions that were cut last week.

The government라이브 바카라 eight agencies came together to cancel the $450 million funding, one day after Harvard President Alan Garber  said that it shared "common ground" with the Trump administration.

“Jewish students were subjected to pervasive insults, physical assault, and intimidation, with no meaningful response from Harvard라이브 바카라 leadership,” U.S. Department of Health and Human Services mentioned in a statement on Tuesday, announcing the grant cuts.

Harvard University - one of the oldest and most prestigious in the country - has been latest in line to catch Trump라이브 바카라 eye in his nationwide crackdown on campus activism. The Republican administration since coming to power in January has sent letters to multiple Ivy league universities, suggesting overhauling changes in policies and curriculum.

While many universities like Columbia University gave into the demands of Trump in the face of threats of fund slashing - Harvard University persisted.

Government라이브 바카라 Tuesday letter to Harvard mentioned that the “campus, once a symbol of academic prestige, has become a breeding ground for virtue signaling and discrimination. This is not leadership; it is cowardice. And it라이브 바카라 not academic freedom; it라이브 바카라 institutional disenfranchisement.”

In a letter to Education Secretary Linda McMahon, Harvard President Alan Garber on Monday asserted that "we share common ground on a number of critical issues," according to media reports.

“Harvard라이브 바카라 efforts to achieve these goals are undermined and threatened by the federal government라이브 바카라 overreach into the constitutional freedoms of private universities and its continuing disregard of Harvard라이브 바카라 compliance with the law,” Garber라이브 바카라 letter said.

The challenges in the academic year  - after the October 7, 2023 Hamas assault on Israel - have led to meaningful reform and recommendations designed to eliminate antisemitism and other forms of hate from Harvard, Garber wrote.

Last month when the Trump administration had just started its crackdown on Harvard, Garber asserted that "the University will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights," in a letter to the Harvard community, saying that these demands violate the First Amendment rights of the students.
