The Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’ hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.
According to government of India Nine sites have been targeted.
Quoting Pakistan military spokesperson Pakistan Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, CNN reported that three people gave been killed including a child. As per BBC, Chaudhry also added that 12 civilians were injured in Ahmedpur Sharqia in Bahwalpur. He also said that a family including a child have been trapped under the rubble of a collapsed house.
A press release issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) at 1:44 a.m. provided details about Operation Sindoor, launched just days after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which the suspects are believed to have links to Pakistan.
Titled “India announces Operation Sindoor against terror infrastructure in Pakistan,” the statement confirmed that nine locations were targeted in the operation.
The release emphasized that the actions taken by the Indian Armed Forces were focused, measured, and non-escalatory, clarifying that no Pakistani military facilities were targeted. It further noted that India exercised significant restraint in both the selection of targets and the execution of the operation.
“These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered. We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable. There will be detailed briefing on ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, later today,” the release read.
At 1:51 am on Wednesday, Indian Army posted on X. `` Justice is served. Jai Hind.'
`Bharat Mata ki Jai,'' Defence Minister Rajnath Singh posted on X.
Pakistan has confirmed the attack.
DG ISPR in its statement said, ``India has struck three places from air. Bahawalpur (Punjab province of Pakistan), Kotli and Muzaffarabad.
All planes of Pakistan Air Force are airborne. All strikes were made by India from its own airspace. Pakistan will respond to it at a time and place of its own choosing. It will not go unanswered''.
Reuters has quoted eyewitnesses saying multiple loud explosions were heard in the Pakistani Kashmir area close to the mountains around the city of Muzaffarabad after midnight. After the explosions the city's power was blacked out.
Pakistan라이브 바카라 former foreign secretary and one-time caretaker foreign minister Jalil Abbas Jilani posted in X :
``Missile strikes carried out by India in Muzaffarabad, Kotli and Bahawalpur are a huge mistake. We are ready with a response to be carried out soon. Indian attacks represent a reckless and destabilizing escalation with serious implications for South Asian peace and security.’’
In another post Jilani who served in Pakistan라이브 바카라 Delhi mission went on to warn. ``Following the false flag Pahalgam operation, Pakistan consistently advocated for restraint and adherence to international norms.
