As Rekha Gupta was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi breaking BJP라이브 바카라 27-year-long jinx on Thursday, six BJP leaders joined her as Cabinet ministers.
Among the Cabinet ministers who took oath alongside CM Gupta were Parvesh Verma, Kapil Mishra, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravindra Kumar Indraj, Ashish Sood, and Pankaj Kumar Singh. Each of these leaders brings a distinct political background and regional representation to the new government.
This new Cabinet marks the end of a decade-long rule by the AAP in Delhi, as the BJP claims victory in 48 of the 70 Assembly seats. With Rekha Gupta at the helm and a diverse Cabinet by her side, the new government is expected to focus on addressing critical issues such as infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and social welfare, all while aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a developed Delhi.
Let라이브 바카라 take a closer look at each member of the Delhi Cabinet:
Kapil Mishra – A controversial turnaround
Kapil Mishra, 44, has undergone a remarkable political transformation. Once a staunch member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Mishra became a prominent critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His shift to the BJP in 2019 marked the beginning of his new political identity as a Hindutva supporter.
Mishra라이브 바카라 political career began with his election to the Delhi Assembly in 2015, representing Karawal Nagar. He quickly became known for his vocal criticism of the BJP and RSS, but after falling out with AAP leadership, including Arvind Kejriwal, Mishra switched parties.
As a member of the BJP, Mishra rose quickly, serving as a vice president in the Delhi unit. His involvement in the Delhi riots of 2020 and his hate speech allegations have earned him notoriety, but his political trajectory has remained strong. Despite losing in the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, Mishra returned in the February 5, 2025 elections, defeating AAP라이브 바카라 Manoj Kumar Tyagi by over 23,000 votes.
His swearing-in as a Cabinet minister is seen as a strategic move by the BJP to consolidate support among hardline Hindutva voters in the capital. His political focus remains on promoting a “corruption-free Delhi” and aligning with Prime Minister Modi라이브 바카라 vision for the city.
Parvesh Verma – The Jat face
Parvesh Verma, 47, is one of the BJP라이브 바카라 most formidable faces in Delhi politics. His political journey began in 2014 when he won the West Delhi Lok Sabha seat, but his rise to prominence took a significant turn in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections.
Verma, a Jat leader and the son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma made headlines by defeating AAP라이브 바카라 Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency – a seat Kejriwal had held for three terms. This high-profile victory positioned Verma as a leading contender for the Chief Minister라이브 바카라 post, though the position ultimately went to Rekha Gupta.
Verma라이브 바카라 reputation as a firebrand leader was solidified when he emerged as a “giant killer,” similar to Kejriwal's challenge to Sheila Dikshit in 2013. Verma라이브 바카라 political persona combines his strong grassroots support with a strategic approach to Delhi라이브 바카라 urban and rural constituencies. His educational background includes an MBA from the Fore School of Management, and he is also involved in social work through Rashtriya Swabhiman, a non-profit founded by his father.
Verma라이브 바카라 impressive electoral victories in West Delhi, where he won with a record margin of over 5.78 lakh votes in 2019, solidified his position as a leader with both mass appeal and administrative skill.
Pankaj Kumar Singh – A debutant to represent the Poorvanchali community
Pankaj Kumar Singh, 48, represents the Poorvanchali community, a key demographic in Delhi consisting of migrants from eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Singh, a debutant MLA, won the Vikaspuri seat with over 12,000 votes, making his entry into Delhi politics significant.
Prior to entering the political arena, Singh was a dentist, having completed his Bachelor's degree in dental surgery from Magadh University, Bihar. His shift from healthcare to politics reflects his desire to serve the community and address the urgent infrastructural issues facing Delhi.
Singh라이브 바카라 role as the general secretary of the BJP's Poorvanchal Morcha highlights his connection with the community and his understanding of their needs. His key priorities include improving road infrastructure, healthcare, education, and tackling water and sanitation issues.
Singh라이브 바카라 focus on the cleaning of the Yamuna River and the provision of essential services aligns with the BJP라이브 바카라 promises to develop a more liveable and sustainable Delhi. His inclusion in the Cabinet also signals the party라이브 바카라 focus on the Poorvanchali voters, who are vital to its political fortunes in Delhi.
Ashish Sood – Punjabi face to strengthen voter base
Ashish Sood, 58, is a seasoned BJP leader known for his organisational skills. A former president of the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) and an active member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Sood라이브 바카라 political journey has been shaped by his organisational work across various BJP fronts.
He has held significant positions, such as general secretary of the BJP Yuva Morcha and national vice president of the Yuva Morcha, before being appointed as the vice president of the Delhi BJP unit.
A businessman by profession with a degree in commerce, Sood was elected as a councillor in the South Delhi Municipal Corporation and served as the Leader of the House in the civic body. His first-time victory as an MLA from Janakpuri, with a margin of over 18,000 votes, further cemented his position in the Delhi political landscape.
Known for his close ties with the RSS and senior BJP leadership, Sood라이브 바카라 organisational skills will play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of Delhi라이브 바카라 governance.
His appointment also signals the BJP라이브 바카라 focus on strengthening its Punjabi voter base, which is a significant demographic in the capital.
Ravinder Indraj Singh – To represent Dalits
Ravinder Indraj Singh, 50, is the Dalit face in the newly formed Cabinet. A first-time MLA from the Bawana constituency, Singh defeated AAP's Jai Bhagwan Upkar by a margin of over 31,000 votes. Singh has been actively involved in the BJP's Scheduled Caste (SC) Morcha, where he played a key role in mobilising Dalit support for the party. His father, Indraj Singh, had served as an MLA in Delhi, and Ravinder라이브 바카라 political roots are deeply embedded in the Bawana constituency.

Singh's political lineage and commitment to public service will be crucial in consolidating BJP라이브 바카라 support among Dalit voters in North Delhi.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa – The Sikh Stalwart and Active Social Worker
Manjinder Singh Sirsa, 53, is a prominent leader in Delhi's political landscape who has also earned recognition for his active involvement in social welfare. A dedicated social worker, Sirsa was particularly known for his efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he organised “oxygen langars” to provide essential relief.
A three-time MLA from Rajouri Garden, he had previously served under the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) before switching to the BJP in 2021. He secured victory in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections over AAP라이브 바카라 Dhanwati Chandela by a margin of 18,190 votes. Throughout his career, Sirsa has been deeply involved in humanitarian relief efforts, from responding to natural disasters in Nepal, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir to supporting the evacuation of minorities from Afghanistan under “Operation Devi Shakti” in 2021.
Notably, Sirsa was also the longest-serving general secretary of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and later its president from 2019 to 2022. As president, he organised langar sewa, facilitated home delivery of food, and arranged the distribution of oxygen cylinders during the pandemic.
Sirsa라이브 바카라 induction into the Delhi Cabinet is seen as a strategic move by the BJP to strengthen its support among the Sikh community, which had been critical of the party라이브 바카라 handling of the farmers’ agitation and the now-repealed farm laws.
