The Resistance Front (TRF), the shadow group of the banned Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has denied any role in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people, mostly tourists.
A statement released by The Resistance Front (TRF) said, "The Resistance Front (TRF) unequivocally denies any involvement in the Pahalgam Incident. Any attribution of this act to TRF is false, hasty, and part of an orchestrated campaign to malign the Kashmiri resistance."
"Shortly after the attack in Pahalgam, a brief and unauthorized message was posted from one of our digital platforms. After an internal audit, we have reason to believe it was the result of a coordinated cyber intrusion a familiar tactic in the Indian state's digital warfare arsenal" the statement reads."
"We are conducting a full investigation to trace the breach, and early indicators suggest fingerprints of Indian cyber-intelligence operatives. This is t the first time India has manufactured chaos for political gain," statement added.
The Home Ministry has designated the TRF as a "terrorist organisation" under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for promoting terrorism, recruiting terrorists, facilitating infiltration and smuggling of arms and narcotics from Pakistan into Jammu and Kashmir in 2023.
