J&K: FIR Registered Against Orry, 7 Others For Consuming Alcohol, Non-Veg Food At Vaishno Devi Base Camp

Jammu and Kashmir police have filed an FIR against Bollywood influence Orhan Awatramani, also known as Orry. Along with Orry, seven others have been booked for allegedly consuming alcohol and non-vegetarian food at the base camp of the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra.

As per reports, the eight accused have been charged with violating the District Magistrate's order and hurting religious sentiments.

As per a report by India Today, along with Orry, Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, Rashi Dutta and a Russian national, Anastasila Arzamaskina have also been named in the FIR.

Police officials have stated that the consumption of alcohol and non-vegetarian food is prohibited in Katra, where the Vaishno Devi shrine is located.

As per news agency PTI, the police received a complaint on March 15 that a few guests were allegedly consuming alcohol at the premises, following with an FIR was filed and against the eight to set an "example of zero tolerance."

"Sensing the gravity of the matter, instructions were issued by Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Paramvir Singh to nab the miscreants and set an example of zero tolerance of any such act at a religious place which can hurt the sentiments of people (sic)," a police officer told PTI.
