The ICC event will witness eight teams fighting it out for the trophy. Pakistan, the defending champions will play on home soil adding to their advantage, but other sub-continent teams like India and Bangladesh will give them some stiff competition.
The eight teams are divided into two groups for the first stage, with each team playing three group-stage matches. The two teams from each group will make their way into the semi-finals.
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand are slotted in Group A, while Group B features Australia, South Africa, England and Afghanistan.
The curtain raiser of the tournament will witness Pakistan taking on New Zealand on February 19, at the National Stadium in Karachi.
