India ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Squad Announcement Highlights: Batter Earns Maiden ODI Call Up, Bowler Gets The Boot

Welcome, one, welcome all. We are just about three hours away from India's provisional squad announcement for the Champions Trophy 2025.

Mohammed Shami could be one of the players who could make his return into the national squad for the ICC Champions Trophy. Shami, who has not featured for India after the ODI World Cup 2023 final at home, was included in the T20I series against England. The 34-year-old has been in good form for Bengal, featuring in Ranji Trophy, Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy as well as the Vijay Hazare competition.

One of the massive talking points heading into the squad announcement will be if the young batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal makes the cut. The 23-year-old was India라이브 바카라 leading run-getter in Tests in 2024, but is yet to make his ODI debut. However, his List-A numbers are promising with five hundreds and a double ton in 32 matches. 

Varun Chakravarthy has been making quite a bit of noise since his T20I comeback and the spinner has done well under Gautam Gambhir at the IPL level for Kolkata Knight Riders. If Kuldeep Yadav sits out due to injury, Chakravarthy could be a potential option, despite not having played an ODI game for India.

Jasprit Bumrah suffered a back spasm during the fifth and final Test of the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2025. The speedster was taken for scans after he experienced some discomfort on Day 2. Bumrah was unable to bowl in the final two days of the Test, which India lost by six wickets. The Board of Control for Cricket in India did not reveal the full extent of his injury. 

The England ODIs are scheduled to be played on February 6, 9, and 12, while India라이브 바카라 Champions Trophy campaign gets underway on February 20. 

The other two group fixtures will be held on Feb 23, 25 and Mar 2.

India라이브 바카라 star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who has been missing from one-day international cricket since his injury at the 2023 ODI World Cup is all set to return to the squad. The 31-year-old displayed his bowling fitness during the Syed Mushtaq Ali and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. 

Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya were seen practicing together ahead of India라이브 바카라 white-ball series against England. The all-rounder will fly to Kolkata for India라이브 바카라 three-day training session in Kolkata, while Rohit will stay in Mumbai, and will be a part of India's CT 2025 squad announcement.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India medical staff that they are carrying niggles and will not be available for the next round of Ranji Trophy matches. According to reports, Kohli had a neck pain, while Rahul is dealing with an elbow issue. Delhi play Saurashtra, while Karnataka face Punjab.

India skipper Rohit Sharma and Selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar have arrived at the BCCI Headquarters in Mumbai for the press conference. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has also arrived.

Arshdeep Singh has been a very promising fast bowler and has been very reliable in the T20 format, becoming India라이브 바카라 leading wicket-taker among the pacers in the format. He also brings in the left-hand variery, adding to the dimentions of the stadiums in the UAE. Is it finally time for the BCCI to include the left-arm pacer in the squad?

With the BCCI meeting still on, the press conference that was scheduled at 12:30 pm has been delayed slightly. However, we should be expecting it anytime soon.

Well, it's been two hours and 20 minutes of wait since the scheduled start time of India's press conference. However, a few reports suggest that it should be underway soon.

Mohammed Siraj misses out, but Arshdeep Singh makes the cut. Washington Sundar makes the 15 alongside Ravindra Jadeja. But the massive news coming out is that Shubman Gill has been named Rohit Sharma라이브 바카라 deputy. 

Since the time I've been a regular starter in Tests, I've hardly had time off cricket due to the calendar: Rohit Sharma.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been picked in the India squad for the Champions Trophy and pacer Mohammed Shami returns to national duty after a long injury layoff. However, Jasprit Bumrah's chance of featuring in the prestigious ODI tournament will depend on his fitness.

"Bumrah has been told to off-load for five weeks after and he won't be available for the first two ODIs against England. We are waiting on his fitness and will know his status in early February from the medical team," chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar said at the press conference.

India captain Rohit Sharma confirms his availability for Mumbai's next Ranji Trophy match.

"Last 6-7 years, if you look at our calendar, we haven't been sitting home for 45 days when cricket is going on. You do get time when IPL finishes when nothing happens after that," Sharma said at the Press Conference.

"Our domestic season begins in October, ends till March. Guys who are not playing all formats and when there's domestic cricket happening, they can play.

"For me personally, Since I've started playing Test cricket regularly since 2019, you hardly get time. When you play international cricket regularly, you need time off, just to refresh. Nobody takes it for granted."
