For the fourth time in the series, Sanju Samson fell to a short ball as he was dismissed for just one off the third ball he played in the fourth T20I between India and England in Pune on Friday. (Live Blog | More Cricket News)

Opening the innings, Samson fell trying to pull a Saqib Mahmood delivery in the second over of the innings. The India wicket-keeper batter was caught at deep square leg by Brydon Carse on the first ball of the second over.

His wicket was the start of a record-breaking over from Mahmood, who was included in the England XI for the first time in the series. The right-arm pacer dismissed the in-form Tilak Varma on the very first ball he faced. He finished the over with the wicket of the India captain Suryakumar Yadav, who too could not open his account in the four balls he faced.

With the triple blow, Mahmood became the first bowler to bowl a triple wicket maiden in men's T20Is.

While it was a memorable outing for Mahmood, for Samson it was another forgettable innings. England's hit the deck bowlers have consistently trouble the wicket-keeper batter with short balls and he seems to be struggling to find answers.

In this series, Samson has faced 23 short balls and got out in all four innings in similar fashion. He has scored just 19 runs off these short balls.

Despite the early triple blow, India managed to get 47 runs in the powerplay with Abhishek Sharma and Rinku Singh managing some boundaries.

Earlier, England had won the toss and opted to bowl first.
