Priyansh Arya Of Punjab Kings Smashes Fastest IPL Hundred By Uncapped Batter

Punjab Kings opener Priyansh Arya lit up Mullanpur with a 39-ball century against Chennai Super Kings, becoming the fastest uncapped batter to reach a hundred in IPL history.

The 24-year-old, who first grabbed headlines with six sixes in an over in the Delhi Premier League, is now the eighth uncapped player and seventh Indian to score an IPL ton. His knock is also the second-fastest by an Indian in the league and the quickest ever against CSK.

Chopra Slams IPL Handling of Washington Sundar

Aakash Chopra criticised the way Washington Sundar has been managed in the IPL, calling it "bizarre" after the all-rounder finally got a game for Gujarat Titans against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Speaking on JioHotstar, Chopra pointed out that despite SRH spending ₹8 crore on Sundar earlier, he never got a proper run. Even at GT, he didn't play until now and wasn’t given a chance to bowl. However, Chopra praised his inclusion, noting that Sundar adds much-needed left-handed depth to GT's predominantly right-handed middle order.

Rohit Sharma may soon receive a major honour at his home ground, with the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) considering naming a stand after him at Wankhede Stadium. The move is still under discussion, as other legendary Mumbai cricketers are also in the mix.

As per The Indian Express, the MCA has received at least eight proposals from club members to name a stand after a prominent cricketing figure.

Digvesh Singh Rathi has emerged as a key bowler for Lucknow Super Giants, picking up seven wickets at just over seven runs an over without going wicketless so far.
