Sahibzada Farhan continued his good form and scored a half-century opening the innings. Colin Munro scored 48 while Haider Ali and Jason Holder hit quickfire 30s in the end to take Islamabad United to 202/6 in their full quota of 20 overs.
The Sultans started well and raced to 62 in the powerplay but after that they just collapsed. Jason Holder starred with the ball as well as he picked up four wickets. Imad Wasim picked up two wickets and everyone else took a wicket each for Islamabad.
Now, Islamabad United have three wins in three games while Multan Sultans have lost both of their opening matches in this campaign.
