A good start from Mohammed Amir and he has put the brakes on the scoring in the second over of the game. Fakhar Zaman and Mohammed Naeem added 13 in the very first over but then came Amir to give away just three from the second.

Powerplay is done and Lahore Qalandars are going strong thanks to Abdullah Shafique who has raced to 33 off just 15 deliveries. Fakhar Zaman is not looking at his fluent best as he continues to play slow. Zaman's opening partner Mohammed Naeem was bowled by Abrar Ahmed in the third over.

Fakhar Zaman has started finding his rhythm and Qalandars are doing well. Abdullah Shafique got out in the eighth over but not before he had done his bit with a well-paced 37. Zaman has now moved to 42 while Daryl Mitchell is the new man in.

Finally the Gladiators have a wicket. This 80-run partnership is over as Daryl Mitchell has been stumped off Abrar Ahmad. The dangerous Fakhar Zaman is still there and the Qalandars would want to get to 210 tonight.

Lahore Qalandars get to 219/6 in 20 overs

A 19-ball 50 from Sam Billings and Qalandars have posted a massive total. 61 runs come off the last four overs and the majority of them come from Billings' bat. Brilliant innings and Qalandars have got a massive score on the board. Onus now on Shaheen Shah Afridi and co to help them earn their first points tonight.

Quetta Gladiators need 220 runs to win!

What a start for Lahore Qalandars and they have just delivered an early knock out punch. Shaheen Afridi with two wickets in his two overs and Asif Afridi with a wicket in his only over. Things looking really bad for Quetta. Kusal Mendis and Rilee Russouw are in the middle but they have a lot of pressure on them.

Rilee Russouw and Kusal Mendis were looking good but before the powerplay could end Qalandars got their fourth wicket. Mendis is also back into the pavillion now. Things keep getting difficult for Quetta.

Quetta are scoring at a good rate but they have already lost half their side. Lahore Qalandars will think they have sealed the game here. They would want a big win to boost their net run rate.

Qalandars are just a wicket away from victory and it has been a totally dominating performance from them so far. Their bowling has been top notch. Shaheen Shah Afridi took two wickets upfront and then Rishad Hossain picked up three in the middle. Sikandar Raza too has chipped in with a couple of scalps.

A clinical win for Lahore Qalandars and they are off the mark in this PSL. Quetta Gladiators just could not compete tonight. Neither with the bat nor with the ball. First up, Fakhar Zaman laid the platform for Qalandars with a half-century and then a 19-ball unbeaten fifty at the end by Sam Billings took them to 219.The chase was killed by Qalandars right in the first three overs when the Gladiators lost three wickets. Ultimately, Qalandars beat Gladiators by 79 runs.

Fakhar Zaman has been adjudged as the Player of the Match for his 39-ball 67.

The massive win takes Lahore Qalandars to the top of the table. Quetta Gladiators are now ranked fourth.
