As per the probe initiated by the Board, it alleged that the residential land cannot be used for non-residential purposes as it violates its regulations.
The chairman of the Board Sanjay Lal Paswan has stated that the residential plots allocated by the Board themselves, can be used for residential purposes, and other than that can be deemed illegal.
The controversy erupted when reports surfaced of a diagnostic centre being put up at Dhoni's Harmu residence in Ranchi. Post this, the board quickly got into action and ordered an investigation about the purpose of the centre and whether it was being used as per the rules.
If the confirmation was that the residential land was used for commercial purposes, strict action followed for MSD and co.
Dhoni, who currently resides in his new hose at Simaliya's Ring Roard, previously lived at the Harmu Residence.
As per reports, the diagnostic centre was established on the older property, that prompted the Jharkhand State Housing Board to keep a close watch on the residential developments.
It is worth noting that MSD was awarded the same plot by the Jharkhand government under Arjun Munda's tenure as CM, for his contributions to cricket.
