The final winners, however, will be chosen by the esteemed 69-member Laureus World Sports Academy — a collective of legendary sporting icons who each bring a lifetime of experience and excellence to the judging process.

Notably, India라이브 바카라 Neeraj Chopra was previously nominated for the Breakthrough of the Year Award in 2022.

The 2025 Laureus World Sports Awards — celebrating its 25th edition — will be held in Madrid on April 21, honouring the standout athletes and teams of the past year.

Carlos Alcaraz (Spain), Tennis – Clinched titles at both the French Open and Wimbledon, and added an Olympic silver medal to his stellar season.

Leon Marchand (France), Swimming – Dominated the pool at the Paris Olympics with four individual gold medals.

Tadej Pogacar (Slovenia), Cycling – Enjoyed a sensational year with 25 victories, including the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and the World Championship.


Max Verstappen (Netherlands), Motor Racing – Secured his fourth straight Formula One World Championship title, reinforcing his dominance on the grid.

Simone Biles (USA), Gymnastics – Made a remarkable comeback at the Olympics, winning three gold medals and a silver in Paris.


Aitana Bonmati (Spain), Football – Claimed her second consecutive Ballon d’Or Feminin as she led Barcelona to a treble: the Champions League, Liga F, and Copa de la Reina.


Sifan Hassan (Netherlands), Athletics – Showcased her endurance with bronze medals in the 5,000m and 10,000m, and topped it off with marathon gold in Paris.

Faith Kipyegon (Kenya), Athletics – Cemented her legacy by becoming the only athlete to win three Olympic titles in the 1,500 metres.


Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone (USA), Athletics – Dominated the track with Olympic gold medals in both the 400m hurdles and the 4x400m relay.


Aryna Sabalenka, Tennis – Captured the Australian and US Open titles, rising to World No.1 in both singles and doubles rankings.
