Nepal women's skipper Indu Barma won the toss and opted to bat against Netherlands women and with the help of Puja Mahato's unbeaten 62 off 51 balls, posted a modest total of 145/4 in 20 overs. Captain Barma also made 39 off 37 balls.
Iris Zwilling was the outstanding bowler for the Netherlands women. She picked two crucial wickets by conceding 25 runs in her spell of four overs.
Chasing the modest target of 146 runs, Netherlands women's openers Phebe Molkenboer and Sterre Kalis achieved the target in the last over without losing a single wicket in the chase.
Molkenboer made an unbeaten 48 off 49 balls, whereas Kalis made an unbeaten 98 runs off 69 balls. Kalis hit 11 fours and two sixes in her mammoth inning and was named 'Player of the Match' for her match-winning knock.
Now, Nepal women will face Thailand women in their next match on Thursday, whereas Netherlands women will also face Thailand women in the last match of the tri-nation series on Friday.
